ABOUT ME

The human body is my passion. From my earliest days years as an MFA student teaching yoga and Pilates, I have been on a journey to discover and to teach others about the human body. I never get tired of moving: I’ve been a choreographer and dancer for over 25 years, a competitive speed skater later in life, and have earned my CrossFit and Yoga Tune Up® certifications. I’ve climbed high peaks around the world, and ridden my bike 545 miles three times over for charity. My life is about giving all I have learned to those who seek to maximize their physical potential.

My reason for teaching is to create time and space for athletes to heal, to build a movement practice they benefit from and enjoy, and to help them understand the value of improving their game and living sustainable, healthy lives. I believe whether dead lifting double your body weight, skating at high speed on the edge of a sharp blade, or flying across the stage in a grand jeté, it’s all the same. It’s a basic primal sensation of feeling utterly human and wonderfully alive.  My wish is for everyone to be able to experience this for themselves. Striving toward the full potential of your power of expression through movement is what I love to teach.
